Order pressure indicators to reflect Company or vehicle manufacturers tyre pressure specifications.

For Heavy Vehicles: In the event of an odd numbered pressure ie: 115psi we advise selection of the next highest pressure ie: 120psi

For Light Vehicles: For 31psi we advise 32psi etc

Ensure indicator pressure rating stamp on top of indicator dome matches company or manufacturers tyre pressure recommendations:

Inflate tyres to specifications:

Ensure valve stem face and threads are clean and free from damage:

If using locknut: Screw locknut down stem thread.

Screw Tyre pressure indicator onto valve until finger tight, do not use tools to grip or overtighten, any resistance may indicate damaged valve threads or seat, recheck and repair:

If using locknut: Grip indicator with fingers, screw locknut up to base of indicator and lightly tighten on indicator using a 12mm spanner, ensure that indicator does not back off whilst tightening. We recommend checking for leaks with soapy water when using locknuts.

After installation ensure indicator has turned green, if not, recheck tyre pressure and indicator pressure rating.

The tyre pressure indicator is now active and monitoring.

NOTE: The visual tyre pressure indicator assists in the early visual detection of tyre pressure reductions.

It must not be used to compromise  manufacturers or corporate recommended tyre pressure check intervals.

During manufacturers recommended tyre pressure check periods, unscrew the visual tyre pressure indicator and check pressure with an accurate gauge.

(Remember, due to air permeation, It is quite normal for a tyre to gradually lose pressure)

Ensure the dome is undamaged, the black “o ring” seal in the chamber is present, undamaged, and no foreign objects have entered the indicator chamber before refitting the indicator finger tight as previously explained.

Check integrity of the tyre pressure indicator weekly.
